Who we are

Island Plumbing and Heating Services Ltd (“we”, “us”) is a plumbing and heating company based at Manor View, La Grande Route de St. Clement, St. Clement, Jersey, JE2 6QW. We are the controller of the personal information collected through this website.

The information we collect

When you send an enquiry using our form, we collect:

• your name, telephone number and email address
• your parish and, if you give it, the address of the property
• the type of customer you are, the service you need and whether it is urgent
• details of the work and, for legionella enquiries, the property type and number of outlets
• your preferred contact method

If you telephone or email us, we receive the information you choose to give us.

How we use your information

We use your information to respond to your enquiry, provide a quotation and arrange any work you ask us to carry out. We do not use it for marketing, and we do not sell it.

Our lawful basis

Under the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018, we use your information because it is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract with you, or to carry out that contract, and because we have a legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.

Who we share it with

Enquiries sent through our website are delivered to us by email through Web3Forms (Web3Forms privacy policy), which processes the information on our behalf. We also use an email provider to receive and store our business email.

We only share your information with others where this is needed to carry out work you have asked for, or where the law requires it.

Information processed outside Jersey

Some of our service providers may store or process information outside Jersey. Where they do, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, as the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018 requires.

How long we keep it

If your enquiry does not lead to any work, we keep it for up to 12 months and then delete it. If we carry out work for you, we keep the related records for as long as we need them for business, accounting and legal purposes.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
• ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete
• ask us to delete your information, or to restrict how we use it
• object to how we use your information
• ask us to transfer your information to another organisation
• withdraw your agreement at any time, where we rely on it
